Mexico City
Exploring CDMX through art, architecture and tacos
Stay in the neighborhood of Roma or Condesa. We were in Roma Sur and it was perfect for walking every where we explored, plus we were 2 blocks from the best tacos I’ve ever eaten. Ensure to also make the trip across the city to Coyoacán, as well as venture several miles outside CDMX to the Teotihuacan archeological complex.
Eat at Los Parados, hands down the most delicious tacos. We ate there almost every day, with my record being 7 for one meal. The arrachera were my favorite. We also enjoyed El Moro churros and the incredible Rosetta Panaderia (worth multiple visits).
Visit Frida Kahlo’s gorgeous blue house in Coyoacán, the city center Zócalo and the incredible Museo del Templo Mayor — worth doing the day before trekking out to Teotihuacan. Take time to wander around every neighborhood you visit. We particularly enjoyed Hipódromo, Roma Norte and Coyoacán.
